Senior Forward-Deployed Engineer, United States
The lead build role in the United States: you own the architecture and delivery of client engagements on Foundry and the data ecosystem around it, lead the engineers on them, and work with the client’s executives.
About Ainur Insights
Ainur Insights builds on Palantir Foundry and AIP for large organisations: one model of the business across the systems they already run, with workflows, agents and decisions in production, handed over to the client’s own team.
Role overview
We’re looking for a senior engineer in the United States to lead client engagements from the technical side: the architecture, the build and the handover. You’ll own the design of pipelines, ontology and applications on Palantir Foundry and the platforms around it, lead the engineers working alongside you, and work directly with the client’s technical and executive stakeholders. As a Forward-Deployed Engineer, you’ll embed with client teams and solve their hardest problems; as a senior one, you’ll make sure what we build is right, lands, and is handed over to a team that can run it.
Key responsibilities
Technical leadership
- Own the architecture and technical delivery of client engagements on Foundry and the platforms around it
- Set the standards for pipelines, ontology design, application development and governance, and review the work against them
- Lead and mentor the engineers on the engagement, including associate and early-career colleagues
- Decide what to keep, connect or retire among the systems in scope, and make the case for it
Client engagement & solution design
- Work with technical and executive stakeholders to turn business goals into a delivery plan
- Assess data strategy and governance across the client’s estate and set the roadmap
- Run design reviews and demos with the client
- Lead the handover: documentation, training and the client’s team running what we built
Data engineering & platform development
- Design scalable pipelines in Foundry with Pipeline Builder and Python transforms, and across the client’s lakehouse and warehouse platforms
- Design the ontology: objects, functions, actions and write-back to the systems of record
- Build applications and workflows with TypeScript, Python and AIP
- Integrate streaming and real-time processing where the use case needs it
AI & advanced analytics
- Lead the design and deployment of generative and agentic AI with AIP, with the governance to keep it correct
- Integrate machine learning models into Foundry for operational analytics
Data governance & security
- Design data protection policies, access controls and restricted views
- Own data quality, security and regulatory compliance on the engagement
